GETTING SWIRLED UP
Honesty is important, vanity and being superficial is not my thing. I let myself get swirled up.
Since January 2021 I read non-fictions and biographies. I am addicted to reading such books and learn valuable things. I can feel that my brain craves more insight and knowledge.
Going places has been a part of my life for long now. I value that I can take my girls places, show them the world, learn from how they see our adventures. They are such a great source of knowledge.
I actively reflect on what happens in my life and that is what I share in my blog, the right blog for you.

EMBRACE
You can take control over your life. I did that and overcame my fear of ice skating. That was a lovely feeling! Make sure that the sun, friends and life itself shine on you from different angles. That can be the case if you share your new wisdom from what you have experienced and read.
Sharing is caring and that is such an important part of life. Embrace. Aim higher – work on yourself.
With the help of my family motivating me to dare to take this step, I managed to. After a bad accident on Christmas Eve in 2014 when I slipped, fell and injured my sacrum, I have been so scared of ice. It triggers something in my soul, but I was decisive to conquer it, and I did. What a feeling that was. I wanted to go on!
STAND TALL
Take pride in what you have done so far. Smile and high five yourself, stand tall and let go of that self-doubt that is no longer needed. A lesson though, never be too hard on yourself. Setbacks are part of life, but a building block to stand on and close a chapter. Why keep reading an old chapter when we can continue on our journey.
No matter what life offers us, we can make something out of it. Talk to people, read, see new places and you can see the connections.
Here, this is 15 years after our wedding and under my wedding dress I have a newly operated foot with four screws in. It was a very tough time, but 18months later, I was stronger and more determined than ever to get back in control of my foot.
Make memories, live today and be part of a greater purpose for our children.
HARVESTING
See what you harvest after digging deep into what you can learn and embrace with enthusiasm. We never know what might come next, right? Each day can be a possibility to earn more self-confidence.
Even though you might not be aware of it, you have done a great job during your life. Suddenly you see something blossom and from there you learn more.
Either path you take will take you somewhere. Learn how to be humble, let go, even that will teach you some valuable lessons.
We have to learn not to always aim higher and higher. Enjoy the view over your life too. You are worth it.
DESTINATION
We all encounter blurry vision from time to time. With the guidance of books you will grow. It is like a guided tour but not yet a fully guided trip you are about to embark on. The final destination is unknown. Because what will the book bring out of you that you didn’t know about yourself yet? A book can be a shelter when feeling lost. Some written words can be enchanting and that exact thing that you need to find clarity. I have read a couple of such books lately which gave me a better understanding about parts of life.
In November 2022 I was hit by strong stress symptoms and I was far from myself. Knowing my family and friends loved me, I found a way back. But before this, we had way too much on our plate in our family, could not socialize at all. Even reading was too much for me for a month, something which I love.
It took me a year before I had some kind of epiphany while cleaning our apartment before Christmas. I smiled thinking about what had happened and I was kind of happy that it did happen. I learned where to put focus, skip some stuff, like just adding things to my CV for the sake of it.
I am the boss of my life-long CV, and that is the learning.

REFLECTION
Nature gives me time to reflect. I date myself and see a new version of the older me. I am being true to myself and aim to keep the positive changes and not fall back into an old trap. It takes energy, time and patience and we can all get there.
Breathe, listen to the silence and add up the experiences from life and connect your years and see why you are who you are.
Smile, question, analyse, but also leave it at that.
