Peace at mind
********************
Worries disappear like magic
The outer world simply goes away
Natural beauty with a calming soul
There is really no reason to keep writing more about this peaceful place. The words don’t come so easily this time, which is strange. Three words say it all. “Peace at mind”. My mind is silent. That is what is needed. Truly needed at this point.
Strolling, pausing, listening, tasting the place with all your five senses. Could one actually ask for more? This is what Mother Nature really is all about.
Kloentaler lake, located at an altitude of 848 meters, was created by a rock fall and now resembles a Norwegian fjord. Kloentaler lake is widely regarded as one of Switzerland’s most beautiful lakes. The surrounding region is full of beautiful natural areas and an unrivalled leisure paradise.
The first time I was here was a weekend in June to stay in a tent and celebrate a Swedish holiday, Midsummer. Five cute little girls were excited and we adults fixed the food. One little girl was given the task to get something in a tent where a strawberry cake was put and just like in movies she steps in the cake. She doesn’t say anything to anyone so when I go to get it, we see a small footprint and then the truth creeps out. We can only smile and eat the cake and have schnapps as we should.
Maybe that wasn’t as peaceful as it was when I was there a couple of years later. The second visit was with my husband and we had brought sandwiches to eat. It was one of the first trips we made without children and that was a strange feeling.
During the car ride, there were some intense discussions, at least in some people’s eyes. Disagreements about different wishes, but nothing that could not be sorted out. Life offers disagreements that can change your thoughts and reasoning.
Lake Kloentaler gave us peace of mind.
We strolled around the lake and enjoyed the mirror-like lake.
The silence was striking. The birds were chirping.
It was so quiet that you could hear an ant dragging a leaf that had fallen from one of the hundreds of leafy trees that surrounded the lake.
The cows ate and ruminated on the grass. which gave them energy and was transformed into milk that we consumers can buy in the store. All those milk products lined up in the grocery stores seem distant. The bells they wear around their necks are part of the experience and the sound lives in harmony with nature.
Every now and then you hear one of the cows mooing contentedly. They live for the moment and enjoy life. Stop, pause, just live. That is what nature offers us. Pick up on that important contribution to life.
Humans can learn from animals and by stopping and watching how they squat and eat, I feel myself craving a cookie. Luckily we have it with us in our backpack. The energy is back. More photos are taken. The heat makes me want to swim, but no swimwear in our backpacks. So it’s time to continue the walk.
Normally, some sounds can be disturbing, but not here. One or two happy children laugh. Someone sneezes because it is pollen season. Despite these elements, the visit feels like a bit of a blessing for the soul.
Nature does so much good and it should be a constant part for the soul.
Conclusion; being here is peaceful. Time for reflection is given and I take that home with me. The calmness.
Why visit this place
* The history ought to be studied since it is from that we learn about the future as well
* The nature is part of our natural habitat and feeling that we belong here in this surrounding offers a peaceful mind

Dear Yvonne
This seems to be a lovely place for a Sunday stroll. The way you describe your feelings makes it easier for me as a reader to feel the same. Seeing the pictures of the place adds to the experience. I hope to find more interesting places that you write about. Looking forward to your updates.
How do you do your writing, if I may ask?
Best regards
Annalise

Dear Annalise
I like it that you ask me how I do my writing. It is almost as if the place I visit talks to me. But, I have changed my mindset and I become part of the place and study what I see. Sometimes ideas pop into my head when I least expect it. I write down my reflections and focus on that when I get started on the writing process. When I am done I look for good pictures that are relatable to the text, add a quote and reread and review the text. Once I am done I add the two extra parts, My “Take-aways” and the “Questions/Reflections” part. That gives me a good way to round things up.
Take care
Yvonne
